Summer law-firm jobs on the rebound, but slowly – Do you plan more hiring?

A recent article from Thomson Reuters News & Insight stated -

“The worst of the summer-hiring slump for law students may be over, according to law school administrators and management consultants.”

“A pickup in litigation and transactional work over the last year, along with projections of modestly better revenue and earnings for 2012, is prompting some law firms to reinvigorate their summer hiring plans, said Paula Alvary, principal of consulting firm Hoffman Alvary, which advises law firms on strategy and management.”

Fun Event – Warner Norcross Hosts Fundraiser, Decorates Bags for Kids’ Food Basket

The Grand Rapids office of Warner Norcross & Judd LLP will once again host a fundraising event to benefit the Kids’ Food Basket of Grand Rapids.

The weeklong fundraising event, themed “We ♥ Kids,” will take place Feb. 13-17.  Attorneys and staff will take part in a friendly competition between the six floors of the downtown law firm to collect juice boxes as well as cash donations that will be used to purchase additional juice boxes.  The goal is to raise enough juice boxes to help Kids’ Food Basket remove one school from its waiting list.
